Key Lower Abs Workout Mistakes: Don't Waste Your Energy!

This is a popular misconception that people think, that the more situps and crunches you do the more fat you will burn around your lower abs. What actually happens is you make your stomach bigger and instead of your lower abs showing through, your belly just gets bigger.

To start with you must look at what you're eating for your lower abs. If you are eating the wrong food then you are completely wasting your time. Stay with good quality meat for protein (this will burn fat in itself), use nuts (almonds are great) for snacks, and make sure you eat some green vegetables and definitely get a daily greens drink like greens plus for example. Make sure you eat organic so you can avoid consuming nasty chemicals.

Then look at your nutrition. If you are eating the wrong food then you are simply wasting your time and energy. Stick to quality grass-fed meat for protein (whihc actually burns fat), eat nuts (walnuts and almonds) for snacks, avoid sugar at all costs and make sure you eat your greens. What you should understand is that you are doing two things. Firstly increasing your metabolism to a new level, which in turn will lose fat. Then by exercising multi-joint exercises, then you are indirectly strengthening your core, because it is trying to stabilise your body. There are so many muscle groups around your core, you can't fail to show your abs more, and you will be really pleased with the result.

Stick to these simple principles and you will lose flab, and more importantly your lower abs WILL show through and you will get definition on your six pack.
